baltfood region - Building the BSR Food Cluster Network
The aim of this workpackage is to create a sustainable cooperation network of food cluster organisations in the BSR. The sustainability should be ensured by establishing a BaltFood cluster secretariat. As a pre-condition, the state of development of the BSR food industry from an economic development point of view will be evaluated. Based on the findings relevant site selection factors should be identified which enable the food processing industry to further develop and invest in the BSR food cluster regions. A gap analysis will reveal which of these site selection factors are already met and which need further development as a basis for a cluster-specific regional development agenda. To increase the awareness of the economic development potential of the food cluster regions, the applicability of branding will be researched and a joint place branding concept developed.
This place branding concept will contribute to the pan-Baltic place branding activities proposed by various Baltic network organisations.
